The big D...Dallas

We celebrated our 7-year anniversary on December 11th...yay!  I can hardly believe it has been 7 years.

In early October I had purchased tickets to a Dallas Cowboys game...on December 11th.  They were to play the NY Giants.  At the time, I had no idea that this was a "good game."  I later learned that this was a HUGE game.  Anyway, I got the tickets and bought airfare...direct flight from Lexington to DFW, sweet!

I kept the secret...and kept the secret...and kept the secret some more.
I couldn't really figure out or decide how to tell him.
As it got closer, I told him we would be going somewhere on Saturday the 10th and returning on Monday the 12th.

Finally on Wednesday, I couldn't take it anymore!  I gave him the tickets!

On Saturday, I was not feeling well from the time we got off the plane.  I was starting to get a bad headache, probably because I fell asleep with my neck/head all cock-eyed whilst on the plane.  Woops.

We did a tour of the stadium...
With the "mascot"
In the Cowboys locker room
TJ on the field

Disappointed that parts of the star were cut off :(
Glad we paid for a "professional" picture in the star since the guy I handed my camera to...
...judging by the pics, might have had several Miller Lite's that day, haha :)
I went to bed at like 8:30 that night and slept through to the next morning.  I still didn't feel great and drank lots of coffee...

We rode the trolley in Dallas...I might put this in my office

Stadium lit up from a distance. It was hard to get a good picture.

Our seats were pretty high, but we could still see really well.  And anything we couldn't see....

We just watched on the enormous screen :)

All in all we had a really great trip, albeit short.  I was disappointed I did not get to see Steph, but that is my fault for feeling sickly and going to bed so early!  I'm hoping we'll go back to Dallas someday, perhaps for another game?

Although the gift was quite a bit more "elaborate" than anything I've ever done before, I think I liked this more than just buying him something.  My hubby is really hard to buy for because if he wants or needs something, a lot of times he'll just get it.  Plus, it's so close to Christmas.  Not to mention...this was an experience we got to do together and a neat memory!
