Hi ladies! Sorry for my recent once-a-week-blogging phase I've been going through. I don't know what my problem is...but I've been in a bit of a funk, to be honest with you. I can't really say any one thing that's wrong...depression is something I fight on an ongoing basis (thank you, bad genes) but for some reason I've had "the blues" lately. Anyway, hopefully I'm pushing through...
I did a little self-medicating this weekend in the form of online shopping. Good for the soul, bad for the wallet. Some of the damage was from Sephora...
I really like this because it doesn't give me raccoon eyes nearly as bad as some other products. It is a little pricey so I only use it on my lower lash and use my fav Cover Girl Perfect Point on top.
Smashbox Photo Finish PrimerI may regret this, but I hope not. I've been using Too Faced Primed & Poreless since before Christmas, but I don't feel like it keeps the oilies away as well as I'd like. I thought I'd give this a try....and if it's a bomb, well...Sephora has a return policy.
Christian Dior "DiorShow" MascaraThis mascara constantly gets rave reviews. I'd wanted to try it but hadn't wanted to spend the money. Enter gift card burning a hole in my pocket....
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + FoundationI pink-puffy-heart this foundation. I've been using it since before Thanksgiving and am on the verge of running out (at least I think--it's hard to tell since the bottle is opaque). I know I promised a review video of this, and I haven't forgotten....but seriously, I love it. If you need coverage, this is great. I use color #20 (Ivory) but could probably also get by with #30 (Porcelain).
I also used a coupon code (and another gift certificate) for some pants at Banana Republic, plus a couple items from Old Navy...
Yesterday, girls, I spent most of my day watching MTV's "I Used to Be Fat." I don't know what it is about that show but it sucked me in. I literally watched it for hours. I think it motivated me or something...because instead of a large coffee today, I got a medium. Then I promptly fell off the wagon for lunch, and dinner (panera mac & cheese anyone? yum). BUT....I did do 35 minutes on the elliptical tonight. Gotta start somewhere. I weigh 133, and I'm not necessarily unhappy with my weight number-wise (though I would not mind one bit for it to be lower)...but I'm unhappy with what I see in the mirror. So it's time to stop being lazy and do something about it! I've got myself one of those little notepads to carry in my purse and start writing down everything I put in my mouth....so we shall see what happens ladies. We shall see.
