Here we are with the third week of the Cardboard Box Diet.
Weigh-in: I'm back to week one weight. 126.
Exercise completed: Since last week's post -- 1-hour Barre Amped class on Friday, walked the dogs Friday (probably 1 mile?), 1-hour Barre Amped class on Saturday, swimming splashing and floating around in the pool on Saturday, 1-hour Zumba video on Monday (with some girls at work), 1-hour Barre Amped class on Monday, 1 mile walk with the dogs and hubby (super slow so not a real calorie torcher or anything), and a 1-hour Barre Amped class on Wednesday. Pretty steady.
Splurge/Guilty Pleasure: Let's see. On Friday night, I had some penne pasta with a combo marinara/alfredo sauce, and that definitely wasn't healthy. Last night we had "breakfast" for dinner and it was more of the bacon-n-eggs-n-biscuits variety, as opposed to a healthy with some fruit and grain type of breakfast. Also not healthy.
Success story: I did a lot of sweating. So, I'm counting that as a success!
Recipe(s):Not so much a "recipe" but just a quick dinner, no rocket science :) Take a soft tortilla, spread Laughing Cow light swiss cheese, add a couple slices of turkey, and a teaspoon-ish full of black bean and corn salsa. Roll it up and yum. The salsa wasn't really planned, but I was out of tomatoes and wanted some flavor and it worked!
This is the Barre Amped Lexington studio. I snapped this pic on Saturday morning, before anyone else arrived. Just in case anyone didn't realize what Barre Amped was like :)

Obviously not the turkey wrap, but oatmeal I had one day for breakfast. Just old-fashioned oats and milk in the fridge overnight. Add a bit of equal, and warm for 30 seconds or so. Top with mixed berries and yum :)
Sooo nothing terribly earth shattering this week, but no huge failures. I did forget to add that I had Chick-fil-A for breakfast one day. But I used some restraint and had the 3-count chicken mini vs. the 4-count chicken mini. Baby steps people, baby steps.
That's all I got for now, bloggies. Talk to ya soon!

Great job getting back down to 126! It seems like everyone is eating delicious oatmeal, and for some reason, I haven't tried any yet! I think I definitely need to!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
I really wish they had some of those classes here. I need to check around. Sounds like a fun and hard way to get exercise! Great job on all the sweating!!
ReplyDeleteThe class look interesting! I've heard a lot of positive remarks about those classes. Way to go on sweating a lot! It definitely is a success!
ReplyDeleteThose classes look awesome - I wish we had a gym membership! It just isn't in our budget - so running and other forms of exercise it is. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in this oatmeal thing - Lauren did it too and I might just have to try it out! :) Have you tried almond milk? It has 35 calories per serving (half of skim milk) and in things like oatmeal and macaroni and cheese it doesn't really affect the taste!
I need to try these overnight oats. I've been seeing them around a lot lately.
ReplyDeleteNice job on getting your sweat on this week! :o)
Wow! So much exercise! Great job girl.
ReplyDeletetell me more about barre amped class.....have you done pure barre in lex? is it like that? i sooo want to try.
ReplyDeleteBaby steps is where it's at! :) I have never eaten oatmeal in my life, but so many people on the interwebs love it! May have to give it a try sometime...
