That's so Pinteresting! {Home Decor edition}

As you may have caught on from some previous posts, I've tried to decorate a little more lately! I've spent a lot of time scouring Pinterest for ideas. I haven't necessarily executed all ideas, but...they are there when/if I need them. I thought I'd share a few with you...

I love the look of this church pew and would love to have one in my foyer, which is a long hallway. I actually saw one of these at a thrift/consignment shop within the last year, and I regret not buying it!

I pinned these (below) primarily for the look of the "gallery wall." I'd like to do something like this in my dining room. I was primarily inspired by Kate's gallery wall, on the Small Things Blog, but pinned these for further inspiration and because I liked them (obviously).

As for this...obviously this would look great on a gallery wall, don't you think?

I pinned this for the color...Sherwin Williams Sea Salt. I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint my bathroom this color. I've just gotta ya know...get around to it. Part of the reason I'm putting it off is because I also want to frame out the mirror (yet another Pinterest DIY) and it'd probably be smart to do that before painting.

I would like to have a tray like this for my coffee table...and the two below are DIY versions. I'm not opposed to DIY,  but I am also going to try to keep my eye out for something I can perhaps paint or "upcycle." For me, sometimes DIY is more expensive because I don't have all the little stuff just lying around (scrap wood, leftover hardware from other projects, etc.)

Lastly, I really like this measuring equivalents image. I am thinking about printing and framing, and displaying on an easel as countertop art in my kitchen. Both decorative AND functional! :)

I guess that's it for now! We'll have to see how I do as far as the execution of these ideas!
What projects or Pin-spirations have you brought to life lately?

  2. Love the color for your bathroom! It is so peaceful and relaxing.

    Check etsy for inexpensive trays like that. I've seen several that were very reasonable.

  4. Eh on the KY image. lol

    Once upon a time my mil got a church pew for me. Then we moved to KS then Korea. It didn't sit well in the barn all that time or so says my husband whoclaims it had termites before he destroyed it among several others things in a bonfire after cleaning out their barn. I try not to think about it.

    I've been wanting a different tray for my coffee table. I need a bigger one.

    My Pinterest ideas brought to life? None recently but I did recently share my penny bowling ball I put together several months ago. You saw it. I've been trying to decide what you could do smaller. Hmmm

  5. We did the framed bathroom mirror thing and from experience let me just say a miter box (angled cuts) are for the devil. Just get the fancy corner squares and you'll be done in 1/3 of the time!! But I'm loving that color! It's similar to a color called "Shooting Star" I got at Lowes, thought I cannot think of the brand.
