1 - The sickliness continues. After taking Mucinex MAX for days and not really getting any better, I finally got a prescription from the doctor, and I'm starting to improve. I've been using my Neti-pot, blowing my nose like crazy, and pumping myself full of water and orange juice. Also? I'm late to the party figuring out that orange juice is freakin' expensive! I switched brands to save 60, yes 60, cents. May not sound like much, but I'd be about $3 richer had I been drinking this new brand all along. Hey, $3 buys me coffee at Dunkin!
2 - So, cold medicine? Let's talk about it. My co-worker G says it is basically like taking 2 shots of whiskey. I disagreed with her, until I did the following things whilst at work: 1) Wrote a different co-worker the same email, two times, different words. By the time I wrote the 2nd one I'd already forgotten writing the first; 2) When getting off the phone with a different coworker, caught myself before I told her I loved her...and 3) Signed an email like this: "Thanks, Jill!"
I mean...I might perform better with two shots of whiskey, who knows?! (I'm kidding)
3 - What do you think of the new blog look? Okay, so it isn't really "new." It is just slightly modified I guess. I got rid of the yellow and messed with the formatting a smidge, so I could adjust the widths of the columns. Thus making my pictures larger like I wanted :) Earth-shattering, people.
4 - I think I used up all my good blog material in my last post.
5 - Oh wait! I found something for you! Two delicious fall recipes...both acquired when visiting my friend and former-best-roommate-ever, Deborah.

2 lbs ground beef
2 cups diced onions
1 15oz can kidney beans
1 15oz can pinto beans
1 15oz can whole kernel corn, drained
1 can Mexican style stewed tomatoes (or regular stewed tomatoes)
1 can tomatoes w/chiles
2 cans diced green chiles
1 can black olives (drained)*
½ cup green olives (drained)*
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 pkg ranch salad dressing mix
3 8oz cans tomato sauce or juice
*I omitted these.
Brown ground beef & onion in a pan. Mix all other ingredients together in a big pot on the stove or use the crockpot and let cook a few hours.
I've made this once so far, and since there are just 2 of us, I only used 1 lb. ground beef. I also used two cans of Rotel w/green chiles, instead of doing the 1 can stewed tomatoes/1 can tomatoes/2 cans chiles. You know me, never one to follow instructions!

1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 14-oz. can sweetened, condensed milk
1 7-oz. jar marshmallow cream
Combine chocolate chips and condensed milk in a microwaveable bowl and heat for 30 second intervals. Stir in between heating, until smooth. Once combined, drop in marshmallow cream and continue microwaving and stirring until combined. Stir around to create a pretty marbled look. Serve with graham crackers for a delicious snack.
(If you need to keep warm, say for a party, keep the dip in a mini crock-pot on warm)
You may lose all self-control once you whip up this S'mores Dip. Don't say I didn't warn you!
