The Blogger Who Cooked Everything (not really)

This past week I tried two recipes I found online.  It's a tad surprising I tried the second one, since my husband didn't particularly care for the first one, but I'd already bought the ingredients and thought it sounded delicious. Both recipes were from the website, The Girl Who Ate Everything.  What we had this week was a FAIL and a WINNER :)

First, the FAIL...

Crockpot Italian Chicken
Allow me to say this--I did not personally think it was a fail. I actually ate the leftovers for lunch the next day, yum! But, the husband did not care for it. He felt the sauce was "too alfredo-y" (his words). The sauce was a little on the thick side, though it didn't bother me much. I think by reducing the amount of cream cheese, it might produce a better result? (In his opinion at least)

Next, the WINNER...
I usually stick to things a little less "complicated" than this recipe but this one was worth every ounce of effort. OH SO GOOD! When I say complicated--allow me to clarify. It wasn't complicated, it just took a little more time than most. It was actually really easy (and the spoonful of meat mixture I ate while stuffing the shells helped tide me over, haha).
Anyway, I followed the recipe almost exactly, except I couldn't find "taco sauce" in the store so I used enchilada sauce instead. I think they are probably the same? I also did not cut up green onions for the top, but it didn't really need them (though I'm sure they'd be quite tasty). I'm sure I'll be making this again very soon!

This one was for you, Ann ;)
(She called me out, publicly, this week...stating on Twitter that I was a blog-slacker. As if! ha)
